“Central Bank of Iraq will launch futures delivery in USD bonds”
Statement issued by the Central Bank of Iraq
Central Bank of Iraq will launch futures delivery in USD bonds (bearer) on behalf of the Ministry of Finance dated 08/02/2015 and ending on the date 8/31/2015 issuing of four categories (2500,10000,50000,100000) US dollars and the total amount of (2) billion US dollars (US $ billion).
Will be sold through the Central Bank of Iraq in Iraqi dinars at a price (1095) (one thousand ninety-five) dinars per US dollar and payable by the Ministry of Finance 12/31/2016 and paid in US dollars at maturity.
It offers all purchase orders banks to the Bank and restrict the amounts we have to open their accounts we have, whether the bonds to the bank or on behalf of the public (natural or legal persons) who have a current account at the bank and offers the purchase to the bank request directly to the bank in turn buy those bonds to his customers by buying advance to the Central Bank of Iraq form, and can use those bonds as collateral for loans or facilities or any transactions require collateral.
