US Army: Kurdistan under our protection after the call
The US Army Chief of Staff, Mark Millie, said that Washington is committed to protecting the stability of Iraq and the Kurdistan region in the period following the end of the organization.
“America is committed to its commitments to protect security and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan region and we will continue to provide the necessary support to the Iraqi forces and the Peshmerga forces,” General Milly said in a statement to the Kurdish space 24.
Iraqi forces and US support continue to campaign for the liberation of the remaining neighborhoods in the western part of Mosul. All expectations indicate a definite defeat for a buoyant organization in Mosul amid massive destruction in the city.

US Senator Marco Rubio earlier revealed dialogues and efforts by US political figures to supply the Peshmerga forces with weapons and equipment without returning to the Iraqi government.
The Secretary-General of the Peshmerga Jabbar Yawar said that Washington intends to arm two brigades of the Peshmerga brigades of all types of weapons and armored vehicles and even heavy ones, noting that Congress allocated $ 415 million a year ago as salaries of the Peshmerga elements actively participating in the battles against the organization of a crowd of 36 thousand fighter.

Liberation of Mosul Revives Economy in Kurdistan: Official
The constant liberation of territories in Mosul has positively impacted the investments in the Kurdistan Region, said an official.
“There has been progress in the markets of Kurdistan Region as well as its domestic and foreign investment, and these are all connected to the liberation of [the majority] of Mosul from Daesh [IS],” said Yasin Mahmoud, a spokesperson for the Board of Investment.
He noted that foreign investors had suspended their projects due to the security crisis caused by IS’ presence in northern Iraq, and now they are resuming their work as the group is nearing its end.
“Nearly $30 billion was allocated to reconstruct Mosul [after the complete defeat of IS], which is expected to benefit the Kurdistan Region’s economy,” Mahmoud stated.
He further revealed that Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has also designed an extensive plan for 2017 which will help the revival of its economy.
