International arrest warrant for Baghdadi and ISIS leaders
French judges specialized in terrorism cases have issued international arrest warrants for ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, former ISIS official Abu Muhammad al-Adnani and responsible for foreign operations.
The news of the arrest warrants issued the French news channel BFM TV , referring to unofficial statements quoted by sources close to the investigation services.
According to these statements, the arrest warrants were issued as part of a legal investigation launched in France on 8 October on “suspicion of establishing and leading a criminal terrorist group”.
Earlier this month, lawyers for relatives of victims of the Paris attacks on November 13, 2015, demanded such a request against Baghdadi, on the grounds that he was “at least a partner” in the attacks.
