Sulaymaniyah – 964: On Monday, the Sulaymaniyah Asayish Security Directorate issued 5 instructions regarding financial transactions in the city’s dollar market, including prohibiting discrimination between old and new dollar editions, and dealing in electronic currency in any form.

The decision was signed in December last year, has just been directed to the dollar market and must be adhered to.

In an official letter, the Security Control and Disbursement Division in Sulaymaniyah ordered all companies, offices, dealers, and merchants to adhere to 5 specific instructions, otherwise they would be subject to legal prosecution.

It is not permissible to distinguish between old and new editions of the dollar, and currency (counterfeit, torn, completely broken) is not accepted.

When the transfer is received, there is no need for a guarantor, and it must be delivered to the named person or his agent.

The person receiving the transfer must have identification.

The transaction must be direct and face-to-face.

Dealing in electronic currency in any form is not permitted.
