Law: The region requests American support to secede from Iraq
Information / private… The leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassim Muhammad Jaafar, revealed today, Wednesday, that the regional authorities sent a request to the United States to help them secede from Iraq, while he confirmed that the regional government proposed to America its support for secession in exchange for control of all resources and wealth.
Jaafar said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The government continues to give the rights of the southern governorates to the regional government,” noting that “continuing to send an amount of 700 billion dinars to the region will not end the worsening problems and crises.”
He continued, “Kurdistan continues the policy of double standards and dealing with duplicity in many files for which the government is trying to find solutions,” warning “the government of the conspiracies of the regional government that it is using against the country in cooperation with some countries.”
The leader of Al-Maliki’s coalition concluded his speech: “The region’s lack of solidarity with the central government and the House of Representatives regarding the issue of removing American combat forces from the country is an extremely dangerous matter,” adding that “Kurdistan sent a request for support to the United States of America regarding the issue of secession from Iraq.”
