Prime Minister issues new directive on development road projectPrime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani held the first regular meeting of the year for the Higher Committee for the Development Road Project today, Wednesday, in the presence of representatives of Oliver Wyman Company, which is concerned with providing consulting services for the Development Road Project.

The meeting reviewed the latest procedures for the Development Road, discussed the latest progress in the five projects of the Grand Faw Port, and the most prominent challenges facing the implementation process and directing them to be addressed quickly in order to adhere to the approved time frames, according to a statement by the Prime Minister’s media office.

Al-Sudani listened to a detailed presentation given by the consulting company regarding its plans related to the economic model for the Development Road Project, which provides the project with greater advantages and ensures keeping pace with the latest developments in the field of using modern techniques and technology.

The Prime Minister directed the state ministries and institutions concerned with the development road project to submit their data to Oliver Wyman Company, in order to prepare an integrated vision for the project.

The meeting also witnessed a review of the security plan for the Development Road Project, as well as reviewing the most important results of the last quadripartite ministerial meeting for the Development Road Project, in the presence of the Ministers of Transport from Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and Qatar.
