Pimpy – Dinar Guru  I understand that an RI will be better [than a slower rate increase]…It’s not that I don’t want and RI.  It’s not that I think an RI wouldn’t be better.  It would.  What I’m saying is realistically it’s unlikely just because of the shock that it would put on the economy and it could damage the dinar itself as well as the economy.  And you don’t want that to happen.

Pimpy – Dinar Guru  Article “The United States intends to exempt Iraq from sanctions on Russian weapons”  The United States it looks like is going exempt Iraq from having to honor sanctions against Russia and allow them to start buying weapons from Russia.  Remember they’re out of Chapter VII now.  They have the right to start buying military weapons and start arming themselves and do what they need to do to protect their country.

Holly – Dinar Guru   …We have been in this holding pattern for a long time. Once the dam breaks it will happen quickly. Iraq is to announce their president on Saturday. That should move things along for them as well

Mountain Goat – Dinar Guru   …This period of news evolves mostly around dealings in establishing a quorum in order to vote on the president in Saturday’s session 3/26… If the vote cannot be taken, the other options in the constitution are to dissolve the parliament and hold re-elections… We will have to wait to see what happens on Saturday…

Pimpy – Dinar Guru   It just looks like a hot mess over there…I keep hoping Sadr gets his way.  I know he’s fighting like heck to do so.  People are starting to get impatient over there.  They’re talking about a serious uprising…we can’t move forward with any kind of rate change – nothing’s gonna happen – we have to have the government in place.  You have to have the budget passed.  They got to get their crap together is all it is…

That may be all that is needed to be applied for the big day that appears to be upon us in short order…

Pimpy – Dinar Guru  I’m feeling really confident, more confident than  I was before that we’re going to have the same government in there, except now we’re going to have Sadr as the man behind the scenes…we’re going to have Saleh as President and Al-Kazemi as Prime Minister.  I do think that’s a good combo.

Mountain Goat – Dinar Guru   …the ongoing election saga continues between Maliki gang and the al-Sadr anti-corruption movement…in today’s news we are told they intend to hold the election for the president on March 26th, assign committees and even announce the prime minister…

Pimpy – Dinar Guru  There was talk again of the exchange rate.  Somebody said ‘Pimpy man did you hear they want to change the rate to $4?‘  …They sent me the article…the person said they want to change it to 4-4.  No, no if you keep reading that’s actually the date.  It’s April the 4th – Not they want to change the rate to $4…there’s just more talk about the rate.

Reverting back to program rate of 1190 would…likely not ever allow them into the international arena…The amounts of monies to be collected at the ports and borders will be staggering imo and will support far more than 1190 or even 1200…They told us the worth of the Dinar in 2017 was…$1.17 based off only oil. Add in the rest and inflation one should easily see that the REER (Real Effective Exchange Rate) will be a far cry over 1190…It will likely support an era of the Glory Days… of roughly $3.22…

Mountain Goat – Dinar Guru  Article:   “THE MONETARY IMPACT OF THE DOLLAR SALE WINDOW”  What they are essentially saying here is that you can’t just abolish the currency window (currency auctions) without looking at the full impact as to why they exist in the first place. So, as I have been saying, they can’t just stop the auctions without replacing them with the reinstatement, thus using the dinar and not the dollar for trade. But to do this must create a demand for the dinar.

Kaperoni – Dinar Guru   … the talk on the dinar [In the news, articles, etc…] has nothing to do with a RV or significantly raising the value. The only talk is to restore it to the rate of 1170 which will not happen at this time.

Breitling – Dinar Guru  People are like how can Iraq back up their own currency?  They’ve never had a problem… backing their currency up.  That’s never been the problem.  The problem is who will accept the Iraqi currency.  And how do you convert the Iraqi currency to the U.S. dollar and go through the Swift system and then convert it to whatever country they are doing business with to get the products they need…Remember every time you go through the Swift system you have to convert it back to the American dollar…

Pimpy – Dinar Guru  I want to trust the experts out there are doing the right thing.  If they’re saying we cannot do it right now [RV/RI/Rate change]  because it’s not the right time I want to trust that their judgment is correct and they have the Iraqi people in mind when they’re doing the work…
