Enorrste (Dinar Guru) –\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>..some laws still need to be in place and…investment won’t come in prior to changing the exchange rate regime.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0It’s like the chicken and the egg story: \u00a0which do you do first?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0It seems to me that without a floating and internationally recognized currency the investment won’t come to Iraq in any significant way.\u00a0\u00a0At the same time, it is the foreign investment that will be the driving force to raise the value of the dinar.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Thus I conclude that the IMF\/CBI has concluded that they will have to have a “dirty exit” in order to get the investment started.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Let’s just hope I’m right….\u00a0\u00a0 [post 2 of 2]

I believe in retrospect we will say this was a very significant month.\u00a0\u00a0I want to keep all of us focused on currency reform.<\/strong>\u00a0Right now this is exactly what we should be watching in expectation of the launching of the lower denominations. Many sources have told me the plan of the CBI is to launch the lower denominations sometime before or by the end of the year.\u00a0<\/strong>Will it occur? We can only wait and watch.\u00a0 Our focus must be on the actions of these two agencies \u2013 the CBI and the Finance Ministry.
