This brings us to April 10th.\u00a0\u00a0I am still firm on my mid March to mid April RV window of opportunity.\u00a0<\/strong>It has not changed. We still have time for all the work to be done to conclude the needed tasks. I am a bit skeptical it will all occur but this is their new target timeframe not mine.\u00a0\u00a0If not I will then have to move along to a new RV window of opportunity when they give it to me. Why watch for an RV if we know there are still mandates for Iraq to complete prior to any RV.\u00a0It is instead the completion of these mandates we watch and wait for as the RV is not the main objective here but just a by-product of meeting these objectives.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0So now at the week\u2019s end we see a benchmark in this saga to obtain a technocratic government (an event that had to occur).\u00a0We know that prime minister Abadi has met Sadr\u2019s deadline of Thursday to submit to parliament the list of candidates to fill his cabinet…\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 …Abadi told everyone that after about a year he would come back and review everyone who he originally appointed as minister.\u00a0He has done just this and so he does carry out his plan. firefly –\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>The CBI and the GOI are 2 separate entities…Every Central bank is its own entity.\u00a0\u00a0According to Iraq’s constitution the Governor of the CBI has to be voted in. He\/She can’t simply be appointed the position…as Maliki was doing for 4 years.<\/strong>\u00a0 I don’t believe all the positions are needed to fix for the reform.\u00a0\u00a0Remember, the only conditions the IMF gave them on Dec 22, 2015 was to get the AML and Investment Laws completed and activated.\u00a0 Both DONE!<\/strong>

Tlar –\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Shabs has been there all along in the background IMO.\u00a0 …most likely\u00a0Shabibi will not come back but there is strong evidence\u00a0 that Shabibi has been advising and communicating with\u00a0Keywords as an article of a week or so stated, keywords asked Shabibi for his help on getting certain legislation through<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 …that alone showed me that there is communication between\u00a0with Shabibi and Keywords.\u00a0 I can also understand that until Maliki is gone or behind bars that there is good reason to keep any communication between Keywords and Shabs\u00a0low key on Shabs part and to a certain extent Keywords part also.\u00a0 Keywords was a Maliki proxy.\u00a0 I am not so sure that Keywords will be removed.\u00a0\u00a0Either on his own or with help from somebody or some organization, he has been transforming everything nicely\u00a0at the CBI in preparation to shake hands with the international banking system, including rebuilding\u00a0the CBI website making it user friendly and interactive and transparent.<\/strong>\u00a0 I think he is either\u00a0a pretty smart\u00a0cookie or he is getting a lot of help\u00a0considering he has\u00a0had no formal training in banking let alone being in charge of a central bank.\u00a0 To what he owes his achievements so far or to who, it is still a\u00a0remarkable\u00a0achievement as to how well he has transformed the whole system\u00a0in preparation to go international with their banks.\u00a0 All IMO of course..

Conversely, this will create inflation and lower the purchasing power of the citizens. Tlar –\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Article\u00a0 “Sadr, ending a sit – green and calls for demonstrations until the vote on the ministerial cabin<\/em>”\u00a0\u00a0 Sadr\u00a0is still playing the bad guy, good guy routine.\u00a0\u00a0…he is threatening the whole system of government unless they vote for change in the time alloted.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 Abadi and Sadr have 10 days in which to swing the votes needed and\u00a0you can bet they will be meeting with\u00a0everyone…they must vote by the deadline or “Sadr will go after everybody…\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0They need the ten days and that’s why they gave the names and ten days to “study”.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We will know in the next 9 days how this comes out.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0…I am an eternal optimist so my bet is this will come out ok.

Kaperoni –\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Until they open the banking system, and move to Article VIII, they have to have auctions to provide a convertible currency (dollar) to pay for imports (food, appliances, vehicles, etc).\u00a0\u00a0The solution is to work to get the banking system done, laws passed and have a monetary policy in compliance with the IMF so\u00a0they can transition to Article VIII and hope the dinar is then accepted\/convertible worldwide (freedom of movement of capital)<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0[so far 2% not in sight lol –\u00a0 is a float still viable<\/em>?]\u00a0\u00a0Float can happen anytime.\u00a0 That is up to the CBI and one of the tools of their monetary policy.<\/strong>

Aggiedad77 –<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>If I may chime in on this whole Abadi Cabinet thing for a short minute or two or three…I know he brought forth what appears to be a decent list of names today…decent enough that it seems Sadr is calling the dogs off for a short while and encouraging Parliament to give serious consideration to the list of names…that by itself is encouraging IMO<\/strong>…Also I think Parliament made a good move today after they heard from Abadi by dismissing for the rest of this day and reconvening on Saturday to talk further about Abadi’s proposal…I know…someone said they had 10 days…but really…why would they need so long…a day and half should be plenty of time to deal with names presented…So will we see some final resolution on Saturday…<\/strong>
