Kaperoni (Dinar Guru) –<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 [Will Iraq have to get control of the MCP for the 90 days prior to a move in the dinar’s status<\/em>?]\u00a0\u00a0It is my understanding that the CBI will have to maintain the 2% spread for 90 days in order to get the green light from the IMF to move to Article VIII<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 [If the currency is listed on Forex, doesn’t that mean the dinar is now in Article VIII<\/em>?]\u00a0 Interesting question.\u00a0 I do not know if their is a direct relationship between participation in Forex and IMF Article VIII.\u00a0\u00a0IMO, moving to Forex is more than just floating the dinar, it would provide the alternative they need to the daily auctions.\u00a0Keep in mind, the CBI can float their currency at anytime without Article VIII.<\/span><\/strong>

Adam Montana (Dinar Guru) –<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0[…is there a \u00a0part of any \u00a0i.m.f. or world bank\u00a0contract or translations,\u00a0that \u00a0tells\u00a0central bank of \u00a0Iraq, that when they go electronic banking there must be a value \u00a0to the dinar.<\/em>..?]\u00a0 As much as I wish there were some kind of entity that\u00a0could force the CBI to put a specific value on the dinar,\u00a0I don’t believe anyone can force the CBI to do anything. Yes, there are influences and they will play nice with\u00a0what other financial entities want, because the end goal\u00a0is to be an internationally traded currency with a\u00a0respectable value!<\/strong>\u00a0 But nobody can “force” the CBI to do\u00a0anything. That’s a good thing, though, because just like they can’t\u00a0be forced to raise the value… they can’t be forced NOT\u00a0to raise the value.

Kaperoni (Dinar Guru) –<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 [What, if any, laws are needed before Iraq can move to Article VIII<\/em>?]\u00a0\u00a0I am not aware of any laws persay that need to be passed,\u00a0only restrictions that exist in monetary policy that conflict with the guidelines of Article VIII under the IMF<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Once they are in compliance, I would expect the CBI and IMF will be working to transition.\u00a0\u00a0Under the IMF guidelines, central banks have to strive for Article VIII.<\/strong>\u00a0 [To do this move, would the CBI have to remove all of the exchange restrictions<\/em>?]\u00a0\u00a0Yes.\u00a0 Article VIII is the ideal situation for Iraq which benefits them when it comes to international acceptance and convertibility.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Keep in mind, Article VIII and currency reform are two separate issues.\u00a0\u00a0I believe the CBI will begin to reform the dinar via float and delete the zeros before Article VIII.<\/strong><\/span>

Nassif has accused him of trying to bribe her with a million dollars to delay the questioning.<\/span><\/strong>

Adam Montana (Dinar Guru) –<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0One thing we should all know about how a dramatic increase in\u00a0the value of the dinar will work is that nobody in Iraq (or anywhere\u00a0else for that matter!) will go into a bank or currency exchange with\u00a0dinar and then walk out with buckets or wheelbarrows full of\u00a0another currency.<\/span>\u00a0That’s not how it works! We will either have to\u00a0deposit it into their account, wire it to another account via their\u00a0bank, or perhaps we will get a cashiers check.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Iraq faced a major problem 10 years ago that would have single-handedly prevented the RV, even if it weren’t for the broken GOI and\u00a0everything else:\u00a0Technology.<\/span>\u00a0Iraq did not have the technology to\u00a0do a mass conversion of their currency<\/strong>.\u00a0I am referring not only to\u00a0the lack of technology in their paper currency itself, which made it\u00a0easy to counterfeit, but also the technology in how their banks\u00a0talk to each other, share funds, or even participate in the auctions…before ~2009 the ISX was basically done on chalkboards! \u00a0…but\u00a0this is no longer the case<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0Check this out:\u00a0\u00a0“The central bank plans to activate the electronic systems to minimize the cash trading process<\/em>”\u00a0\u00a0...we are nearing the end of this\u00a0ride. The news is showing more and more that Iraq is pushing to\u00a0get control of ISIS.\u00a0…I’ve even heard a few\u00a0comments about how ISIS must be “completely destroyed” before\u00a0an RV, but that’s just not true.<\/strong>\u00a0ISIS influence on the stability of Iraq is dwindling.\u00a0 4.\u00a0In a continuing effort to bring Iraq as a nation closer together,\u00a0we see more and more instances of the Kurds getting a larger\u00a0share of the money.<\/strong>\u00a0If you think back a couple years, you’ll\u00a0remember that the biggest obstacle to the HCL has always been\u00a0lack of cooperation from the Kurds, and for good reason. They\u00a0were getting screwed!\u00a0Since Abadi has taken the wheel, that has\u00a0changed. We are closer than ever to an HCL. Ready?\u00a0September MAYBE, October I REALLY like.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0I could be wrong –\u00a0August is not completely ruled out\u00a0in my book,<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0but after doing these updates for so many years,\u00a0and studying Iraq and other countries like a hawk for an even\u00a0longer time… I think I have a good “feel” for the status. …these first 2 are the bad points. 1. It’s been my experience (and history\/news\/Google will back\u00a0this up with facts) that after Ramadan, they (Iraq) either have\u00a0things lined up and ready to reach a milestone…or they don’t.\u00a0\u00a0Let’s face it, nothing major came after this most recent Ramadan. It doesn’t concern me about an “eventual” increase in the IQD,\u00a0but I’m not going to expect it this week<\/strong>. 2. Remember what I was saying about “watch the oil” for the\u00a0HCL to grow legs? Oil dipped again. Where it was once on the\u00a0way back to a respectable $60ish range, it has dropped\u00a0back down below $40 again.\u00a0\u00a0Oil will go back up, and the HCL will get\u00a0moving again, but I doubt August is our month.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Now let’s talk about some positive stuff…\u00a0[post 1 of 3….stay tuned]

It did not mention the price AUB paid for the shares.\u00a0\u00a0 In addition to Iraq, AUB has a presence in Kuwait, Egypt, Libya, Oman and Britain.
