Retaking Mosul could not have gone forward without an agreement with the Kurds. Getting an agreement with the Kurds is extremely important. The meetings between Barzani and Abadi are going very well, with the two most crucial issues being settled<\/strong>.\u00a0In a press statement, Barzani announced yesterday that an agreement over post-liberation Mosul’s government has been reached between Baghdad and Erbil. Today, it was announced that an agreement over Kirkuk’s oil was reached between Baghdad and the Kurds<\/strong>. Article 140 has been in contention because the Kurds wanted the Kirkuk oil fields. (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad \u2013<\/strong> The Iraqi Oil Minister will soon visit Erbil to meet with his Kurdish counterpart and discuss crude oil exports and revenues.<\/p>\n

MP Shakhawan Abdullah said, \u201cThe meetings will continue with Kurdistan Region\u2019s Minister of Natural Resources who will be visiting Baghdad for the same purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kurdish and Iraqi ministers will discuss the technical issues relating to the implementation of a previous Erbil-Baghdad agreement. The KRG and Iraqi government have also reached to an agreement over Kirkuk oil exports through the Kurdish pipelines,\u201d Abdullah revealed…<\/p>\n

All the news points in a positive direction… Amazingly after almost 8 years finally we experienced the Amnesty law passed last week. Frank26\u00a0(Dinar Guru) –<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The IMF also told Abadi you need to reduce your GOI ministers and he did…he went from 22 cabinet members to 12… Abadi can and will get the reforms done…the Economic and the Financial Reforms…\u00a0 It is all coming together IOO in order to create order within Iraq.<\/strong>\u00a0 They are going to remove the MCP of the other currencies they are using…they won\u2019t use the USD but they will be pegged to it…they need to stop using foreign currency now that they are about to come out with a budget<\/span>….and if it comes out 1 to 1…you need to understand that was the whole plan from December.\u00a0 2012 might have been at 10 cents, 20 cents, 30 cents, whatever…but now the IMF since December has made it very clear it is 1 to 1<\/strong>…plus…every time an article comes out from the GOI or the CBI or some Financial Committee member it is always 1 to 1…I am of the school that they will come out at 1 to 1.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 [post 2 of 3….stay tuned]

Yes \u2013 this law did finally pass in parliament today 8\/25<\/strong><\/span>. This law is going to make a HUGE, HUGE difference in Iraq.\u00a0\u00a0So next we need to see the Accountability and Justice law, combined along with the Amnesty law these two laws work together to bring the needed justice to Iraq.\u00a0Also with the new technocratic minister of energy just appointed, he has told us already there is no need for any delay in getting an energy law (HCL) for Iraq as it is now written and only needs to be presented to parliament for a vote<\/span>.
