Mountain Goat – Dinar Guru  I see what is happening in Iraq as a final “cleanup” from the sanctioned days and war years…there is going be some huge change in policy of currency exchange for international trade with Iraq…why else would the CBI make such a drastic change in policy with the currency auctions if the US didn’t tell them to “ditch the dollar” and do it now. …But in order to do it Iraq needed the reforms… reforms come first, then they can rebuild their economy and somewhere in the new economy building phase, they strike out and delete the zeros and reinstate…So, come the end of 2024 don’t you think these reforms will be ‘good enough” to let the dinar finally get to FOREX? I was told this is their target.

The push is big…this article was interesting to me “In 5 days Iraq Central Bank sells more than a billion dollars” and they say there is now no room for the parallel market or black market for dollars. This is huge from Al ALaq.  Once they open the doors and change the REER [Real Effective Exchange Rate] then the dinar will then be stronger than the dollar.  That is what Al-Sudani has said more than once. And that is what we are waiting for.

Sandy Ingram – Dinar Guru  I am concerned for Iraq.  Why is the US Secretary of State urging the Iraq prime minister to take quick action…against armed groups in Iraq? ...Things are extremely tense behind the scenes in the Middle East...The US has issued a stark warning to the Iraqi government, if Iran uses Iraqi soil to attack Israel expect Israeli retaliation against Iraq…But here’s the latest news.  There’s no doubt about what is about to happen in Iraq…  Article “Israel prepares a large- scale attack on targets in Iraq.”  …None of this sounds good. 

Militia Man – Dinar Guru  [Iraq’s] inflation rate is key.  It’s low.  It went from 7.5% to 3.8%.  It’s really in good shape.

Militia Man – Dinar Guru   CBRs , Correspondent Banking Relationships, we’ve know about that since 2023…This isn’t brand new.  This is what’s been done.  2024 consultation Article IV is about things they’ve got to a certain point where now we’re going to the next step.  We’re focusing in on 2024 for what?  Modernizing the banking system.  Getting that completed.  Going to the private sector.  Privatizing the state-owned banks.  They’re doing it.  Ernst & Young are doing it.  They’ve had a contract since January.

Mountain Goat  My…CBI…contact…told me there is a planned meeting next week with the director Al Al-Alaq to review the status of the committee work and plan out the next phase of the project to delete the zeros. I was told that the CBI will no longer be supporting the currency auctions come the end of the year…she told me they are now working on many more foreign banks besides the already arranged four (4) U.S. banks that are going to also come into process of supporting the international conversion of dinar to dollars on payment of imports to Iraq. Why would these other banks want to exchange dinars if they were not going to be worth something and globally traded? …This news was VERY good news for all of us. It tells us there is going be some huge change in policy of currency exchange for international trade with Iraq.

Militia Man – Dinar Guru   Article: “Iraq intends to increase the International Monetary Fund by equivalent of 1.45 trillion dinar.”  They paid off their debt, inflation is down, interest rates have dropped, foreign currency reserves have increase, 152.6 tons of gold…Does that sound like a country that’s still going to stay at 1310 with their exchange rate?

Mountain Goat – Dinar Guru   My contact told me not to expect any move forward with the Project to Delete the Zeros until this new…Trump… administration signals, they will “fully” support it and the “process” and move to the end of the process, which is, as we all know, the reinstatement.  Remember we don’t go to the bank until the reinstatement back on FOREX occurs, the end of the process.

Militia Man – Dinar Guru  They’re going to need to expose their exchange rate so they can get on the Forex and they can open the doors so they can start paying for all those obligations…

Sandy Ingram – Dinar Guru   Trump…for the most part he has been on the side of Iraq.  Our problem is not Trump, but rather the fact that Iraq is increasingly making the [dinar] a closed currency.  The means we do not have access to the digital changes happening in the country today.

Pimpy – Dinar Guru  The dinar is not going to happen today or the next week as far as I know but this is a pretty big step [the restrictions removed from foreign currency exchange] for them because this allows a lot of liquidity which is necessary inside of Iraq.  Liquidity has always been an issue for Iraq.  This will change that.  That means more businesses/people doing exchanges with the currencies.  A lot of liquidity in Iraq is what they need.

Militia Man – Dinar Guru  I think they’ve got it to an exposer level.  They haven’t exposed the 2024 budget yet.  They haven’t exposed the hydrocarbon law yet.  They haven’t turned on oil in the Port [Into Turkey] yet.  Why?  Because I think the 2024 budget has something that we’re waiting for.
